The Story
VIFFFF, a functional food company, established to design new type of healthy, vegan, convenient, food for people with special health needs. Developed in two years of research work, VIFFFFs are high in easily, digestible, protein, low in short-chain carbohydrates, have low glycemic index, low in fat, gluten free and constitutes bacteria which support the growth of healthy flora & fauna in the intestine. It is therefore suitable for patients with gastrointestinal problems, for diabetics, for old age people and people suffering from allergies. To reduce Co2 emission, make it affordable for the masses, to cover regional taste and to use local agricultural products, a disruptive ‘Factory in Factory’ model was conceived, which is being tested in gastronomy kitchens in Austria. This will enable flexible, responsive production and would serve as ‘game changer’ in the industry.
Success Factor | Hero Moment
One of the most decisive moment was the result of the pre-clinical study with Diabetic Type 1 patients. Most of the patients could reduce their daily insulin doses and some did not even have to inject insulin after a VIFFFF meal.
